Back in Germany we had our first official work meeting at our home university the Brandenburg University of applied science in Brandenburg an der Havel, a nice little town, situated an hour train ride west of Berlin.
The university was founded in 1992 and its campus was built in an ancient cuirassier casern with a mix of renovated old and modern new buildings. It houses three faculties: engineering, economics as well as computer science and media. There are around 3.000 students enrolled at FHB (which is short for Fachhochschule Brandenburg) who usually make the campurs buzzing with energy and talk, but right now it is semester break and the place was spookingly empty.
We are most definitely looking forward to semester start in fall, to lively discussions, exchange and inspiring research!
